I had a lovely afternoon at WHSmith in Parc Trostre Llanelli today, and met lots of wonderful people.
Thank you to everyone who came along and bought books for me to sign, and thanks once again to the manager, Terry, and to his team at the shop.
And a very big “THANK YOU!” goes to Megan and her mum for taking and letting me use this photo. It was lovely to meet you both, and I hope you enjoy your copy of ‘Welsh Cakes and Custard’, Megan. Diolch yn fawr iawn!!!

Dear Megan,
Thank you very much for telling me that you’ve enjoyed reading ‘Welsh Cakes and Custard’. I’m so glad you liked the part about Emyr Rhys’s tadcu and the shower cap – that’s one of my favourite bits too! I really enjoy writing stories and I always hope that someone will enjoy reading them, so it’s really lovely to know that you’ve enjoyed my book.
I remember you and your mum coming into Smiths when I was there before Christmas and it was lovely to meet you both. I was really pleased that your mum took our photo and said I could use it on the website. It’s great, too, that you took your book into school and I’m so glad your teacher and your class liked the stories.
I would love to visit your class. Perhaps you can show your teacher this reply and she can e-mail me on the ‘Contact Me’ page on my website. Then we could arrange an afternoon when I can come to school and read a couple of my stories.
Thank you so much for your e-mail and I’m looking forward to meeting you again soon,
Wendy 🙂
