A big thank you to Jacob and his mum for sending me this lovely review.

As Jacob explains in his review, I met him (along with his brother, Tomos, and his mum, Sian) at Waterstones in Aberystwyth during half term, and I signed some copies of my books for them. It was lovely to meet them all, and I’m so pleased Jacob enjoyed his book. “I’m glad you found the stories funny, Jacob! And thank you very much for reviewing my book for homework.”

And especially to Kayleigh, William & Martha, Owain, Tomos & Jacob, Miss Crane of Griffithstown Primary School, Jonathan, and Nia Griffith MP. St. David’s Day is Cancelled!

I’m so excited about my next book St. David’s Day is Cancelled! The wonderful illustrations by the brilliantly talented Huw Aaron are all in place and the book is almost ready to be printed. It’ll be published in time for St. David’s Day – which hopefully won’t be cancelled! – and I’ll be on a book signing tour(!) during February (more details on this page soon). I’m looking forward to it already.

I can’t reveal the cover just yet, but here’s a sneaky peek at the title page and Huw’s illustration of Nia.

And here’s a bit about the book:

When their headteacher, Mrs Right – who’s most definitely wrong about some things – decides to cancel St. David’s Day, the Seren Wen newspaper team know that with just a week to go they have to act fast. They need to get the whole school to put on the best concert ever. But can they do it in time? And will anyone want to help them?

Can they save St. David’s Day?
